Jacqui Ward

Hi there, my name is Jacqui Ward and I am a Tasmanian based emerging visual artist. I grew up in Sydney, moved to Hobart in 1987, fell in love and stayed.  I studied ceramics for three years at Rosny College between having children and completed a Multi-media course in 1999. Soon after I began working at The Australian Antarctic Division, digitising the historic photograph collection.

In 2002 I moved to working at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in the area of imaging and copyright. During my time at the museum I have worked on many exhibitions, including

the major redevelopment of the buildings and revamping of its galleries.

In 2018 I completed a Fine Arts degree at UTAS and since then I have participated in nine group exhibitions and three solo exhibitions. My artwork is stretched across many mediums. Photography, sculpture, ceramics, painting, poetry, film and sound. I love to create installations that are a cross over of science and art.
